Workshop Budapest 10-11 May 2007

An open scientific workshop on research and development on advanced industrial crystalline silicon PV technology organized on 10th - 11th May 2007 in Hotel Mercure Budapest Metropol in Budapest, Hungary. The workshop was attended by interested researchers and scientists, by the participants of the CrystalClear project and a number of invited guests. In addition, a number of PhD students from New Members States and candidate countries were invited by the CrystalClear Coordinator to participate in the event, and their travel expenses have been funded.

The aim of this workshop was to disseminate R&D results achieved within CrystalClear to the respective stakeholders in PV in the New EU Member States and candidate countries, identify opportunities for future joint work and encourage young researchers in these countries to work in the exciting field of c-Si PV.

The programme mainly consisted of up-to-date presentations on the status of the R&D work within Crystal Clear along the value chain of PV module production based on crystalline silicon, and a forum to discuss and identify essential future R&D topics and possible contributions by universities, research institutes and other parties from the countries mentioned.
